2014 Vans Custom Culture Partners
We’re back again in 2014! truth®, the nation’s largest youth smoking prevention campaign, is adding its own competition to Vans Custom Culture – and it’s worth $10,000! Only the top 50 finalist schools are eligible to participate, so the competition promises to be fierce.

The challenge? Customize a skateboard deck with a design inspired by your reaction to the following ugly truth about Big Tobacco:
In 2006, a judge ruled that Big Tobacco had been engaged in a 50-year scheme to deceive the public about the dangers of smoking.

The Prize? A trip for 4 to NYC plus $10,000 for the school’s art program.

Vans is continually dedicated to promoting creative self-expression among students. For the 2014 Custom Culture competition, we’re incredibly excited to welcome back, for the third year, a special partnership with US based shoe retailer, Journeys, to present the Local Attitude award. This award will highlight one of the final five schools that creates the most compelling Local Flavor theme shoes with a $10,000 donation to that school's art program. This award will be presented to one of the final five schools at the final event in New York City!
